A Life and Art Update

Hello Friends,

It has been quite a while and there has been much happening behind the scenes, both in family life and art life.

I want to give you a little update.

This family photo is from last summer (2022) and by this same time this summer, we will have welcomed another little girl to our family. Baby girl is coming June 2023 and we are beginning to grasp the reality of the transition to come.

With pregnancy, every day life, and a BIG art project I have been working on (keep reading), it became very clear that my 6 week long holiday break that I previously planned would need to be much longer than I originally anticipated.

I wanted to give my full creative energy to a very big project that has been in the making for about a year now (maybe even more). The ideas and planning have been in the making for a long time and it took getting really quiet and intentional, away from extra noise, to work through some big resistance and actually begin putting those ideas into action. I can hardly hold it in anymore and I am so excited to be able to share with you what is coming very soon…

I have been filming my first self-hosted online art class sharing my process of painting florals and inviting you into the intuitive process of creating your own florals. I am SO beyond excited and honestly a bit shocked that I am actually wrapping up this project. I have poured so much into this course and I cannot wait to share it with you! I am well underway and hope to be able to get it out for you all before baby girls arrival in mid June. I will continue to share details over the next weeks.

The course is a beautiful exploration of painting florals and what I hope to be a mix of play, technique, and many building blocks for creating florals with movement, feeling, and expression. My goal in this course is to encourage you in creating intuitively, trusting what your hands are making, learning with curiosity and building a foundation for using your own work as inspiration to move through the creative process. I share my own process in creating flower paintings and so much more. I cannot express how excited I am that this is finally happening and to share it with you soon!

So many of you have reached out over the last several months which has been so sweet and I am excited to be here sending an update and hoping to connect a bit more in months to come. I am still sorting through what my online presence will be in the next several months (particularly after baby is here), but my priority right now is to finish this course and get it out to you all.
